ADULT POPCICLES 06/03/2010
No, not men, Lele. Alcohol-infused frozen treats on a stick inspired by your childhood, reimagined for adulthood. I have to admit, I have been collecting all sorts of out-door drinking venue info lately...NONE of which are in Venice, MOST of which seem a bit too too, but HELL - get your lime & salt ready- they may not go down easy. I love when Trendcentral gets all lushy. Its rare, but its good. Today they proposed that if you want to make your own Lushcicles at home you can use this ZOKU contraption- freezes in 10 minutes. But as the Vodka-in-the-freezer set knows, BOOZE doesn't freeze, just wine...so maybe Sangria pops? Don't want to make your own? Lazy. Here is a place in Hwood that is serving them....but um, you might have a hard time keeping your dinner down...It's called The Colony and they'd like you to think that being in the fake ( fake) Hamptons is better than being here in real ( fake) Los Angeles. Want a taste? "That's where you and your friends will want to start things off... with some alcoholic sushi. (Think Jell-O shot instead of tuna and rice paper instead of seaweed.) They've also got booze-filled popsicles, champagne-sorbet foams on mini-spoons—and olives skewered on pipettes filled with splashes of martini." read the rest - at UrbanDaddy.com MORE OUTDOOR? Something has arrived in HWood called Beachwood, not to be confused with Beechwood on Washington. Drink+Mingle+Play is the theme, and painfully slow loading pics on their site indicate it's sponsored by MONSTER energy drink. From 12-2 there is a brunch with $19 bottomless mimosas.... ( everyone is so into this bottomeless thing.. I want to go topless!) Ironically I CANT TELL YOU WHERE IT IS, cause they wont tell me. I think all of this just goes to show that all those folks in Hollywood want to be us. So, if you need to find these Venetians, we will be at the Erwin with Squirt guns on Sunday, or sneaking our adult lemonade on the beach- doin' it for real! Commentschi chi 06/04/2010 07:31
